Obama visits Oahu, can't hurt Oahu real estate!

This week, Barack Obama spent his vacation in Oahu, visiting family, playing golf, bodysurfing at Sandy Beach, and going to other attractions around the island. His week long stay was spent at a vacation rental on Kailua Beach worth about $8million.

Now even if you're not a Democrat, you have to love the fact that he came here and drew lots of publicity around the world for Oahu. TV images of beautiful Kailua beach were shown all across the nation, hopefully prompting people to want to come and visit our beautiful island.

The Advertiser ran an article on the topic of his visit helping tourism, but for me the main thing is that people saw the great beaches and lifestyle of Hawaii, and might think about retiring here someday. I always say that the Baby Boomers are going to take over Oahu, and Obama's visit can't hurt.

He was shown on TV at the USS Arizona, golfing in Waimanalo and Kailua, and visiting his family all around Honolulu.

I won't be voting for you, but thanks for visiting your home state!
