It is the best of all worlds!
When people hear the words, "Hawaii Real Estate," they probably have an
image of beautiful homes on white sand beaches, with crystal clear
water and gentle waves lapping, with a nice breeze blowing as they lay
on a lounge chair and enjoy our tropical paradise. Whether they know it
or not, what they are thinking of is a neighborhood in Windward Oahu
called Beachside.
If you can afford to buy real estate in Beachside, then you're going to
enjoy the essence of luxury living in Oahu. It is the absolute best
that Oahu has to offer, situated on the best part of the beach in
wonderful Kailua. With 2 miles of white sand beach and warm sky blue
water and the most beautiful of custom homes, Beachside has everything
going for it. I recently showed a $9.8 million ocean front property to
some clients of mine, and it was literally the best property I have
ever seen in my life. The combination of beach frontage, giant house,
beautiful pool, gigantic lot, it was almost too great to believe.
The average price of homes in Beachside is about $2million for a home
that isn't right on the beach, and waterfront homes start around
$4million. What's nice is that you can buy a beautiful home just across
from the beach with deeded beach access for about half the price of
living on the beach. Of course, you don't get a 24 hour view of the
ocean, and you can't walk right your door onto the sand. You might have
to walk nearly 100ft. Life is probably pretty great if you are buying

While most homes in this area are older, having been built in the
1950's and 60's, there are several newer homes that have been built in
the last year or two. These new custom homes will fetch $7-10million
easily. They are gorgeous estates that often sit on an acre with 60-100
linear feet of water frontage.
Beachside has the great advantage of being close to the H3 onramp,
while also being just 5 minutes to Kailua town, one of the friendliest
and nicest little towns in Oahu. It is the best of all worlds -
paradise like retreat, and the convenience of Kailua.
