Laie & Kaaawa Beachfront Homes
A lot of tourists see the North Windward coast because they take the drive up to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It's a beautiful drive up that side, with its huge bays and miles of uninhabited beaches. There are many beachfront homes in Laie and Kaaawa, but some houses are run down by the constant ocean breezes that bring up salty air.
Since it's such a long drive from Laie and Kaaawa to Honolulu, this not the ideal place to buy a home if you need to commute to town frequently. The beaches in Laie and Malaekahana are wonderful, and it's mainly because of the long commute that real estate in this area is less expensive. If you can work from your house, you'll find this a beautiful place to buy waterfront property.
