Kuapa Isle is one of the largest waterfront townhouse complexes in Hawaii Kai. With beautiful marina frontage and a private dock for each owner, Kuapa Isle is one of my favorite waterfront properties in Hawaii Kai.
If you want a marina front property with your own dock, Kuapa Isle townhomes are a great place to start. A true waterfront home can be found at Kuapa Isle for under a million dollars, as the homes range in price from $750,000 to about $1 million.
A gated community with security guards, Kuapa Isle is a great neighborhood of 234 townhouses, with the majority of units right on the marina, so you can cruise out on your boat from your own private dock! The Kuapa Isle Clubhouse is also right on the water, with views of the mountains and the marina. It has a large pool, showers, meeting room, and restrooms. For those without a dock right on their home, a community dock is located near the clubhouse.
There are many options for waterfront living in Hawaii Kai, but almost all of them are over a million dollars. In Kuapa Isle, you share only one wall with your neighbor, and the biggest units are about 1900 square feet, and feel like single family homes. The monthly maintenance fee for Kuapa Isle townhouses is about $400-$500, depending on the unit, and the property seems to be very well managed. In 2008 they actually lowered their monthly fees, and that's the only development I have ever heard of that has done that. When I lived on the water in Hawaii Kai, I could see Kuapa Isle right across the water from my kitchen. I recommend Kuapa Isle for people who want waterfront living for under $1million, especially if you have a boat.
