Kalae is the Ward Village tower for people who want space. There are no studios; plans start at about 800 sf and most two-bedrooms come with a den. Aloha State Daily reported it about 93% pre-sold in June 2026, and Howard Hughes-sourced reporting puts first move-ins in 2028. What's left is a handful of homes plus assignment and resale opportunities as it nears completion.

You pick a light or dark finish scheme. Kitchens have Studio Becker cabinets, quartzite counters and backsplash, a Wolf gas cooktop, Sub-Zero refrigerator plus a Sub-Zero wine fridge, and an appliance garage. Baths use marble counters and limestone floors.
The Mālie Courtyards and Level 5
What sets Kalae apart is the ground level: four semi-private indoor-outdoor courtyards (Mauka, Makai, Sunrise, Sunset) with bungalows, water features and a courtyard pool. Level 5 adds the owners lounge, resort and fitness pools, spa, great lawn, pool pavilion, a fitness studio with personal training rooms, movement studio, private dining room with catering kitchen, locker rooms with saunas, guest suites, and a BBQ area with a pizza oven.

Close to it. It was about 93% pre-sold in June 2026. There may be a few developer units and, as completion nears, some buyers will look to sell. That's where I can help.
How is Kalae different from The Launiu?
Kalae is bigger homes and fewer of them: 330 homes, no studios, dens in most two-bedrooms. The Launiu has 486 homes and a wider price range starting with studios.
When can I move into Kalae?
Reporting based on Howard Hughes puts first residents in 2028. I'll confirm against the latest construction update before you plan around a date.
